Salary: to £25k plus benefits Our East Midlands based client specialise in the provision of bespoke controls solutions to the Power Generation and Energy sector, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of structured expansion, are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly capable Workshop Supervisor to oversee the activities of a busy Mechanical Development Department. Tasked with the responsibility of controlling the day to day activities within the workshops and giving assistance where necessary, the successful candidate will also become extensively involved with all aspects of product development and production, as well as controlling the stores and various goods in /out activities.
To be considered for this challenging position, you will manage and control day to day workshop activities as well as undertake general mechanical assembly work, assisting with Testing, Repairs, Inspection and Production and the receiving of deliveries and subsequent allocation of stock, as well as assisting with product development R&D when required.
You will demonstrate suitable qualifications and experience in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and be able to carry out heavy duty work (the Ability to lift 25kg in weight unaided is an essential requirement for the role), as well as have a good eye for attention to detail, excellent communication skills, be computer literate and have good organisational skills. Exposure to use of AutoCad would prove to be distinctly advantageous, with a clean driving licence and your own vehicle also a priority although the role is primarily single site based in Leicester.
