As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self motivated and accomplished Electrical Engineer to compliment their existing team of engineering professionals.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will be able to demonstrate experience of providing specialist electrical engineering expertise essential in the design and build of packaging machinery in order to ensure customer requirements are achieved, and possess a relevant engineering qualification.
Reporting to the Director of Electrical Engineering and Control Systems, you will be responsible for the design of electrical systems and specifying specialised sub-assemblies to ensure that machines have a fully integrated system, the electrical function on machine builds, whether in-house or carried out by contractors. In addition to ensuring that the machine electrical systems comply with the relevant local safety and build standards that exist in different countries, you will be responsible for the production of electrical documentation, including parts list, circuit drawings, manufacturing drawings and bill of materials, and supervise the testing of machines before customer handover.
You will preferably be able to demonstrate at least 3 years experience of working for a quality machine manufacturer within the packaging sector, or a machine manufacturer making special purpose machines for the food, drinks, pharmaceutical and health care industries, and be flexible with a personable approach that ensures effective communication with both customers and suppliers respectively.
