The successful candidate will carry out a full range of technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, individually or as a member of a project team, and lead engineering or support activities in the field (and carry out the most complex activities) for specific products and customers to ensure the operability of company products. Additionally, you will prepare a full range of specifications (System, Sub-System etc.) and develop designs in line with demanding customer specifications, defining testing approaches and specifying tests in assigned / specialist areas. Additionally you will plan, control and deliver assigned projects or work packages, and make an input as required to cross-functional projects/investigations, whilst liaising with customers and subcontractors e.g. Review Customer’s needs, present findings and promote Design Solutions.

You will undertake a range of duties that will include:

·         the development of system concepts and ideas for the resolution of Technical Problems and future work. 

·         System performance analysis

·         the definition of trials requirements

·         Trials data analysis

·         Technology research and development activities

And therefore the ability to ensure the successful and timely delivery of objectives as well as to develop solutions to complex technical problems is a prerequisite. With a positive (enthusiastic and energetic) approach to new tasks, you will ideally have attained a Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment. Proven analytical and problem solving skills e.g. System Study Trade-offs alongwith experience of System Definition, Systems Architecture Development e.g. MODAF, Requirements capture, decomposition and management, System Design and Analysis, Design Studies, Design/Performance Modelling, System Integration, Design Proving and Trials, Interface Design and System assessment and acceptance will be distinctly advantageous.

Experience gained of working within areas associated with Missile/Weapon Systems, Combat Systems, Command & Control Systems, Radar System Design, Military Communications, Data Link Systems and Sensor Fusion technology will be favoured, as will the ability to speak French and/or Italian languages.
