Ref: PTR09/588 Location: Wellingborough, Northants Description: Exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic Projects Team Leader to ensure the on time, within budget project delivery of a range of manufacturing programmes. Salary: to £37k plus benefits Our client are renowned globally as market leaders in the design of diesel engine design for a range of applications, and as a result of continued success and recent positive restructuring, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated Projects Team Leader to operate and manage contract and project works in order to meet project commitments and liabilities, from the point of client order acceptance to the point of completion and handover to customer and the clients in-house aftermarket team.
You will be tasked with achieving the financial and performance criteria allocated to each contract or project and will work closely with the Sales & Proposals teams to improve business process, maximize business opportunities and improve customer service, as well as to meet business objectives as required by the Commercial Manager for Profitable Sales growth, PBIT, SAR, ROANA, Cashflow and Customer Satisfaction, whilst providing leadership to the projects team.
To be successful in this position, you will oversee day to day control of specific works and projects, including design considerations and co-ordination with suppliers, customers and other trades, witness tests etc, and will motivate your team to act like owners working together, thus ensuring customer expectations are exceeded by being first to market with the best products & services. Partnering the team with customers to make sure that they succeed, you will ensure that all activities are undertaken whilst striving to do them in a cleaner, healthier, safer environment. You will assist and coordinate aftermarket activities with both live and completed projects and will support the proposals team whilst ensuring operations comply with Health & Safety requirements and documentation regime.
To be considered for this challenging position, you will demonstrate competent communication skills with customers, internal staff, suppliers & subcontractors, monitoring costs and achieving financial performance allocated whilst complying with Contractual obligations. You will demonstrate experience in a role requiring co-ordination of multi-skills & services, ideally in a contracting or manufacturing environment and the ability to solve problems and maintain deadlines and programmes. Experience of communication and negotiation with a wide range of other disciplines, trades and customers will prove to be distinctly advantageous, as is the ability to operate in a pressurised technical environment. You will have ideally undertaken Health & safety training (ideally CITB standard) and possess a full driving licence and excellent verbal and written skills – as well as the ability and self motivation to work without close supervision.
