Ref: PTR09/626 Location: Wellingborough, Northampton Description: Experienced HSE professional required to drive change and implement systems within a successful manufacturing environment Salary: to £35k plus car / bonus / pension / healthcare HSE Health, Safety & Environment Policy & Systems Manager - Wellingborough to £35k + ben Our client are renowned globally as market leaders in the design of engines for a range of applications, and as a result of continued success and recent positive restructuring, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated HSE Policy and Systems Manager to develop and implement HSE Policies and Procedures that support the overall HSE strategy for the organisation in line with corporate objectives and in order to maintain Environmental Standard ISO 14001 accreditation.
The successful candidate ESSENTIALLY demonstrate leadership and management skills, able to drive a team and motivate others around them and possess the ability to change culture, ensuring the HSE message is spread throughout an established and successful organisation and capable of ensuring policies and procedures are reinforced. You will be tasked with the development, implementation and maintenance of all company HSE Policies and Procedures via the QSI database and the retention and maintenance of adequate records of environmental reports, safety systems, safety reports and internal and external audits within the business.
Additionally you will provide support HSE support to EMEA as requested and take responsibility for lead auditor for ERM audits, developing and/or revising existing HSE training material for use by company personnel and developing and leading HSE audits across the company as well as supporting other audit activity (ISO 9001, Excel, Link Up) as part of the internal audit team. You will administer Accident Investigations, Near Miss Investigations and create Procedures, Measures to focus H&S continuous improvement, and provide written reports and associated analysis of accident documentation as required.
To be considered for this exceptional opportunity within a dynamic and globally renowned organisation, you w ill demonstrate a proven record as a Health, Safety & Environmental Practitioner, having previously successfully implemented / maintained ISO14001 and lead change and improvement projects through your professional, disciplined and organised approach.
Ideally you will possess experience gained within a Motor industry/Engineering/Manufacturing environment and will possess a relevant Engineering discipline qualification of at least HND Level or above, and will be conversant with all aspects of HSE Legislation. Ideally NEBOSH / IOSH Certified (although sponsorship of this Qualification for the right applicant is available), you will be familiar with the Electricity at Work Act and Regulations – COSHH Regulations alongwith the essential knowledge of a Manufacturing/Technical Environment.
