ILS / CLS Manager
Midlands
To £60,000 basic + benefits
This crucial position presents an opportunity for the successful candidate to be a key player on a new project in a company set to succeed on a global scale.
The Role
· Plan, Manage execute and be the SME for all support activities.
· Manage all the CLS activities, including those of the subcontractors
· Establish the ISS (In Service Support) and CLS infrastructure.
· Support the bid activity for CLS
· Following the award of CLS contract, manage the contract for the CLS service
Main Responsibilities
· Create and guide the clients strategy for CLS and ISS
· Be the Company focal point and expert for all CLS/ILS activities and disciplines
· Manage the CLS/ILS team.
· Manage the CLS contract and all activities to support the CLS service
Tasks
· Establish the CLS Support Contract
· Establish all support functions.
· Manage and direct the ISS establishment
· Monitor and support the Supply Chain with the establishment of their In-Service Support activities
· Manage the relations and reporting to the PCMO on CLS
· Undertake and maintain Ranging and Scaling of Spares to support the programme
· Undertake Obsolescence management activities
· Establish Whole Equipment management activities
· Oversee all ILS activities.
· Manage the ILS/CLS team
· Manage and deliver all commitments on CLS and ILS
Knowledge and Skills Required
· Experience within a similar MOD Programme focusing on Airborne and Electronics CLS/ILS
· Proven experience of effective team management, preferably within defence programmes.
· Ability to manage a team and to liaise effectively with staff of other disciplines
· Experience in Control Account management
· Ability to communicate with the Supply Chain and the Customer/User interface
· Good administrative and organisational skills
· Knowledge of CLS/ILS processes
· Logistic and CLS formal experience
· Airborne Programme experience
· Training design and delivery
· Ability to conduct CLS/ILS tasks to schedule and budget
· Ability to liaise with staff from other disciplines
· Ability to manage a team
· Self motivated
· Reliable and accurate
· Good communication skills at all levels
· Prepared to travel to other sites at various locations within the UK and out of UK on an occasional basis
· Assertive and confident approach to duties and individuals
· Leadership skills
