Our client is a well established and respected progressive organisation, operating within the world of Industrial Automation and Control, with an outstanding record of growth based upon providing a Single Source Solution to a wide variety of market sectors.
As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit a highly self motivated and capable Automation Engineer to focus their attention principally to one customer allied to the FMCG sector and based from the companies Head Office in Birmingham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the review, tendering, design, project engineering and after sales support for a variety of Automation based opportunities, and will work closely with their site established Electrical Installation and Projects Teams, developing close working relationships with a number of the customer’s key engineers/managers and establishing an explicit technical understanding of site standards and practices.
It is essential therefore that you demonstrate a wide array of Control System Engineering based skills typically including;
· Liaising with Client, Sub-contractors and other internal company divisions
· Estimating and generating Quotations
· Electrical Design, including Electrical Schematics, Control Panel GA’s, Cable Block Diagrams, Cable / Termination Schedules, Bill of Materials
· On-site Panel Surveys
· PLC/HMI design and configuration (Allen Bradley)
· Commissioning support
· Generating Method Statements and Risk Assessments
· Project Engineering
· Develop new and nurture existing Customer Relations
· Contract Documentation Packages
It is envisaged therefore that at minimum you will possess knowledge and experience of Allen Bradley PLC/HMI programming capabilities, Safety Circuit Design, SIL / Risk Assessments and use of AutoCAD for schematic layout and design activities.
