Field Service Engineer - Scotland to £19k + vehicle & overtime

Description: Mechanically biased multi discipline field service engineer required to service industrial door and access systems

Salary: £19k + overtime and vehicle plus benefits

Our client is a global leader in the manufacture, supply and service provider of automatic and manual industrial access systems, and are part of a global organisation with an annual turnover of more than £600m.

As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth for 2010, they are now seeking a recruit an experienced individual to operate within the service division and covering the Aberdeen to Inverness region of the country.
Mechanically biased although ideally multi skilled, the successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager and will have good overall knowledge of a fast moving customer care environment delivering technical services to customers, and duties will include analysing problems, resolving issues, providing technical and engineering on-site support for access and door related products, additionally ensuring that all H&S guidelines and liaising extensively face to face with the customer.
The successful candidate will have worked in a team environment and possess accuracy and attention to detail skills, and will demonstrate previous experience of working within a similarly customer focussed field service environment.
With training available, you will ensure that the highest standards of customer service are delivered whilst representing the Company to provide the highest level of technical and engineering on-site support for company products,  ensuring that the company name is actively promoted wherever possible by demonstrating a professional image of the Company, and maximising new business opportunities at every opportunity. Managing your time effectively and using PDA’s and other communication equipment to maximise productivity, you will submit information that enables work to be processed and invoiced in an efficient manner and liaise effectively with all personnel within the Company to ensure that all problems, issues and opportunities are fed back to the relevant personnel / departments.
You will analyse problems in a pro-active manner and resolve issues which prevent efficient and safe use of door related equipment on customers premises, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude with the ability to work to a first-class standard autonomously or as part of a team.
