As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are urgently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and self motivated Senior Mechanical Automation Engineer to compliment their existing team of design professionals. To be considered for this exceptional opportunity, the successful candidate will be a highly qualified automation mechanical engineer with realistically a minimum of 5 years experience in designing automation type equipment, either in an automotive, medical, food, aerospace or pharmaceutical environment. Additionally, they will have experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, motor driven mechanisms or robotics. You must be able to demonstrate the capability of managing a project from start to finish successfully, possess excellent communication skills, a positive and professional attitude towards working as a team or autonomously to strict project plans and time constraints and a flexible work ethic as travel abroad and working additional hours at short notice may be required, The successful candidate will work on automation related designs, supporting the Sales team in preparing quotes, developing customer specific solutions incorporating pick and place devices using electrical or pneumatic powered actuators, gripper mechanisms and linear belt driven motion systems, system layout drawing and facilities assessments and managing engineering project teams, both internal and external, to deliver system level and detailed drawings as required. You will possess strong skills in the use of Solidworks, be able to supervise the assembly and installation of complete system both in house and at the customer site, and have an analytical / logical approach to problem resolution and root cause identification.
