As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth for 2010 and beyond, our established and internationally renowned client are seeking an enthusiastic and highly self motivated Internal Technical Sales professional to compliment their dynamic team of business development professionals.
 
The successful candidate will use their engineering and technical knowledge and experience to assess enquiries, prepare quotations and respond to customer’s technical queries and prove comprehensive telephone support to engineers on site in a prompt, courteous and effective manner, so an electro-mechanical background with extensive liaison with customers in both a sales and support capacity would prove to be distinctly advantageous.
 
In addition to the support and quotation aspects of the role, additionally you will liaise with customers on the progress of current production and will develop effective working relationships that encourage new business from existing or potential customers. In assessing enquiries and preparing quotations, you will liaise closely with the purchasing function as well as suppliers, and attend customer sites to provide technical support when required. Additionally you will create specific kits of parts for customers on the ERP System, including bill of materials, works orders, product codes and descriptions and be responsible for carrying out contract reviews on sales orders received to match information against quotation in order to ensure customer requirements can be met.
 
Using the company database to source customer information and maximise business opportunities from new and existing clients, you will support and assist the Senior Electrical Engineer on technical queries regarding electrical panels and equipment and train other staff and customers on the range of products marketed.
 
It is essential that the successful candidate be able to demonstrate proven mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience, encompassing knowledge of motors and controls as well as gears, ratios and lift charts, and be capable of reading schematics and undertaking calculations using Ohms Law. Experience of ERP systems would be advantageous although is not essential. Additionally, PC literacy in the use of MS Office software is essential (including Outlook), as is experience of effective planning and scheduling and excellent Customer Service and communication skill. You will possess a relevant Mechanical engineering qualification and a driving licence and will demonstrate a flexible approach in order to ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
