Description: 2 enthusiastic, experienced and highly self motivated Mitsubishi (A&Q) PLC & Robot Programming production professionals required for a busy automotive BIW component manufacturer in the West Midlands.

Salary: to c£31k plus benefits

 

 
Our client has been established for more than a decade, and specialise in the volume manufacture of highest quality automotive BIW components. Due to major improvements in the organisation there is now a need to recruit 2 Production Engineers with a particular skill set for successful completion of the role to be based at their prestigious West Midlands facility.
 
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidates will ESSENTIALLY demonstrate skills and experience in the use of Mitsubishi PLC (A&Q) software, and will undertake a range of principal responsibilities including (but not limited to)
 
  • Activity planning, monitoring and reporting.
  • Robot programming and PLC modifications for both new assemblies and to enhance existing cycle time and cell performance within high pressured multiple robot environments.
  • Fault-finding, diagnostic and problem solving within a weld manufacturing area.
  • Analysis of current processes and process layouts, implementation of identified improvements.
  • Study and implementation of new processes and working methods, eg: automated nut welding.
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement, company wide.
  • Work proactively with Quality Department to resolve any identified issues.
  • Implementation of weld jig improvements.
  • Support the production facility as required.
 
To be considered for these challenging positions within a fast paced highly professional environment, it is ESSENTIAL that you demonstrate previous experience in a BiW environment. Additionally you will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and in the creation and documenting of Situation and Decision Analysis reports. With an acute awareness of cost control and budgetary targets, experience in risk assessment and control of contractors is desirable alongwith with knowledge of AutoCAD or CATIA design packages.
 
You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization from general associate to senior manager, and adopt an open minded and willing approach in order to adapt to constantly changing business requirements. You will be a strong team player who also demonstrates a desire to lead and take decisions, with the role potentially suiting highly self motivated and dynamic Maintenance Engineers perhaps looking to progress their career in terms of both technical challenge and diversity.
