Salary: to £30k plus benefits As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth for 2010 and beyond, our established and internationally renowned client is seeking an enthusiastic and highly self motivated internal Technical Sales professional with proven experience in a demanding sales office, to compliment their dynamic team of business development professionals.
Candidates with a relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification (HND/HNC minimum) will use their engineering and technical knowledge and expertise to assess enquiries, prepare quotations, respond to customer’s technical queries and provide comprehensive telephone support to customers and engineers on site in a prompt, courteous and effective manner. A mechanical engineering background with extensive liaison with customers in both a sales and support capacity would prove to be distinctly advantageous.
You will be expected to develop and maintain effective working relationships that encourage new business from existing and potential customers and may occasionally attend customer sites to support our external Business Development team, helping them to train and advise customers on the range of products marketed.
It is essential that the successful candidate is able to demonstrate proven mechanical knowledge together with an understanding of electrical control systems. PC literacy in the use of Sales modules and MS Office software (including Outlook) is crucial, as is effective planning and excellent customer service and communication skills. You should also possess a current driving licence and will demonstrate a flexible approach in order to ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
