Multi Discipline Maintenance Technician   - Southampton   - c£25k + ben

Our client specialise in the provision of managed services for all aspects of production equipment maintenance within a diverse range of manufacturing environments, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a Multi Discipline Maintenance Technician to complement the activities of a successful existing team.

Based in Fareham and reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the successful candidate will undertake both planned preventative and reactive maintenance and repair on a range of both electrical and mechanical systems on CNC machine Tools and associated equipment, necessitating the dismantling of devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, examining form and texture of parts to detect imperfections, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments to sustain and improve operations, and repairing or replacing defective parts where appropriate.

The successful candidate will provide support and back up for other members of the department as needed and will mentor, empower and develop fellow team members as part of an ongoing programme of training and development to encourage genuine career progression potential in the future within the business.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity offering genuine stability and progression, you will be a team player able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, and will be able to read technical drawings, use measuring instruments, perform basic failure analysis work with an understanding of electronic components to troubleshoot and repair and also a basic knowledge of the use of hand and power tools.
