Description: Project Leader - Automotive

Our client has developed an impressive reputation in the provision of bespoke project solutions to a diverse range of market sectors across the globe, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are seeking to recruit a commercially astute Project Leader to compliment the automotive team based in Birmingham.

With the capability to provide complete tailor made solutions to a range of automotive manufacturing requirements including handling systems, final assembly, paintshop and vehicle test using state of the art industrial automation and SCADA systems, the successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience of controls and automation within a fast paced manufacturing environment, and be able to effectively and autonomously manage multiple projects (ranging from £1k - £100k over anything from 1 week to 1 year timescales) from bid through to commissioning and subsequent maintenance.

The successful candidate will therefore thrive within an environment that demands meeting technical and commercial deadlines and guaranteeing the quality and compliance of the service rendered, and will assist the senior management team with estimates, assessing the number of hours needed to provide the functions expected by the customer and identifying and managing both human and physical resources assigned to the project, overseeing all aspects of the project until its successful completion.

It is therefore essential that in addition to the necessary technical abilities, you are a confident and effective communicator at all levels, handling relations with partners, clients and subcontractors throughout all key stages of the project (validation of architectures, documents and strategic purchasing) and directly supervising the teams tasked with ensuring smooth project delivery on time and within budget. Additionally, the ability to use these effective communication skills in order to maximize and expand on current and future business opportunities will guarantee the success and further expansion of your projects and teams.
