Description: Unigraphics Design Engineer - Test Rigs

Salary: to £33k plus benefits

Our client employs in excess of 9,000 people across the globe, have a presence in more than 15 countries and have an annual turnover in excess of £400m, and work on a consultancy basis to various market sectors that include Aerospace, Automotive and Nuclear sectors for both Defence and Energy applications. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self motivated and highly proficient Test Rig Design professional to compliment their existing team.

To be considered for this challenging role, the successful candidate will understand and contribute to the specification of rig test vehicle design problems including large structural rigs, spinning rigs, aerothermal rigs and specialist rigs for fan blade off and bird ingestion scenarios. You will therefore demonstrate strong problem solving abilities, design solution and decision making capabilities and be able to present work in an effective manner to technical and commercial project forums.

You will be able to work on multiple projects at any one time, both autonomously or as part of a motivated team and essentially will be able to work to both company and customer design specifications and timescales.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will therefore demonstrate experience of theoretical and practical design engineering, ideally within an engine project or testing rig environment and demonstrate a good all round understanding of basic organisational and project management skills.

Experience of 3D and 2D modelling with Unigraphics NX2 or above is essential, and familiarity with PDM (Aerospace version), Teamcentre and MS Office is desirable although consideration will be given to alternative versions and packages.
