Description: Executive position - Global Head of Planning and Scheduling required for multi national operation

Our globally renowned client specialise in the manufacture of an exhaustive range of composite materials and engineered products to a diverse range of industry sectors, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Global Planning Manager to lead the development of the Global Strategy for all Planning and Scheduling activities across the business, and supporting the implementation of standardised planning policies in line with recognised industry best practices.
Due to the global nature of the client organisation, the position demands flexibility to travel internationally on a regular basis, and successful candidates will demonstrate previous proven success gained within a multi sited, multi cultural environment.
This position is a pivotal role within the organisation, and the successful candidate will be considered the Global Planning Expert within the business, and you will quickly establish an effective strategic plan for the improvement of Production and Materials planning across the business whilst leading various improvement activities with planning functions across a number of sites on multiple ERP systems.
You will additionally advise the business teams on all aspects of resource quality and training requirements, whilst driving change in standard practices throughout business and supporting the implementation of the new Global ERP system, necessitating regular liaison with Site Management across the business to support local initiatives and attendance at Regional Operations meetings to represent the Supply Chain group.
With responsibility to the team of Planning Managers across 18 manufacturing facilities globally, you will be tasked with the optimisation of material procurement activities across the business and will demonstrate previous exposure to various supply chain activities including Material Procurement, Planning/ scheduling and Logistics and will have held previous senior positions within a multi-national with responsibility for Global Planning Management.
As the decision making authority for all planning policy across the business, you will possess significant strategic production planning experience for a multi-site International Company, as well of assessing a manufacturing site’s capability to achieve effective production planning and in dealing with multiple ERP systems. Achievements in leading improvement programs across many sites and establishing policy for production planning and scheduling to optimize cost, inventory and customer service levels will also prove advantageous.
