Description: Multi skilled, electrically biased Field Service Engineer required to undertake reactive breakdown and repair activities as well as service and installation on a range of special purpose machinery allied to the recycling sector.
Our client has been established for more than 20 years and specialise in the planned preventative and reactive maintenance, service and repair of special purpose waste processing machinery to clients throughout the UK, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Field Service Engineer to complement their established and professional team.
You will be provided with a company vehicle and tasked with visiting customer sites throughout the UK conducting servicing and general maintenance and repair works on the complete range of special purpose waste handling and recycling equipment and machinery. This includes PPM and servicing, and fault finding for breakdowns. This is a customer facing role so excellent communication skills and previous experience in a similar role essential.
The position will ideally suit a multi skilled, electrically biased hands-on field service professional who demonstrates a background in electrical control systems for special purpose machinery including inverters, electrical safety circuits, relay logic and plc control (fault find, modification and debug rather than programming). As the role is field based, a full clean driving licence is also essential for the position.
A self-motivated individual able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, you will possess previous experience of fault finding, diagnosis and repair on a range of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as experience of permit to work' protocols and other company safety rules and regulations for the purposes of provision of safety, and be skilled in evaluating the operational status of all processes and services and developing plans to ensure continuous running as well as ensuring that planned maintenance standards are maintained.
In order to be considered for this varied and challenging position, you will demonstrate a flexible, self-motivated and pro-active approach with strong organisation and planning skills and the ability to integrate quickly as an effective team member. You will possess excellent customer facing skills at all levels and be both commercially aware and capable of operating with the minimum of guidance whilst ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.
