Location: Near Tamworth, Staffordshire
Description: Multi skilled and experienced Maintenance team leader required to oversee the activities of a team of engineers undertaking both PPM and reactive breakdown and repair activities on niche machinery.
Our client is an internationally recognised household name in the world of leisure and entertainment, having been established for almost 70 years. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Multi Skilled Maintenance Team Leader to complement their established and successful team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the maintenance function tasked with ensuring the safe and efficient operational maintenance on a range of attractions and special purpose machinery.
Core responsibilities for this varied and challenging role will include (but not be limited to):
- Keeping abreast of legal requirements, industry requirements and best practice to implement where applicable and ensure compliance across all ride related assets.
- Assisting in the effective supervision, audit and review of standard operating procedures within the Engineering Department to maintain departmental compliance with H&S regulations and industry best practice, ensuring that engineering practices and procedures are under continuous review and improvement,
- Assisting in driving efficiencies within the engineering department, considering controlled use of spares, reduced damage and wastage, best use of resource and exploration of technical modifications.
- Assisting in both PPM and reactive breakdown repairs utilising your electrical and mechanical engineering skills when required
To be considered for this unique and genuinely exciting opportunity, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical maintenance and ideally conversant with HSG175 and activities / responsibilities relating to the safe operation of a Leisure or Amusement Park.
Experience of ride documentation and associated manuals in order to understand the extent of maintenance activities required, along with experience of digital management / reporting systems will prove distinctly advantageous.
Realistically qualified to at least HND level or above in a relevant engineering discipline, you will possess excellent communication skills at all levels along with a self motivated and flexible approach to working, as there could be weekend and bank holiday work and occasional late nights as required.
