Description: Dynamic, proactive and highly experienced Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required by our household name client to manage a team of sales and account management professionals.
Our client is part of a multi-billion-pound global organisation employing more than 70,000 staff in over 100 countries and are recognised market leaders in their niche manufacturing sector. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Bulk Sales Manager to complement their established and professional sales team covering the whole of the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Applications and Business Development and able be based anywhere in the UK, the successful candidate will manage a team if 8 direct reports and lead the non-application Sales and Business Development function of Onsites & Bulk Business through the identification and engagement of new customers as well as maximising relationships and opportunities with existing clients and upselling wherever possible in order to meet business targets on sales and margin.
Focussing on Bulk, Small on Site and low volume liquid gas delivery solutions to customers throughout the country, you will manage business development capture and execution in key customer markets across the whole of the UK through various aligned resources and will lead the Technical Support function in support of new business capture, ensuring compliance with the required SHEQ standards as well as setting high standards in and personal commitment to SHEQ.
Additionally you will proactively manage the diversity, equity and inclusion programmes and activities within your team in order to drive a strong and inclusive workplace for your team to contribute, perform and develop within.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is essential that you demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience in leading dynamic and motivated high-level sales teams and working with significant and respected market leading customers and will possess exceptional commercial skills and general business acumen, with selling and negotiating experience at the highest level (including complex contract development and negotiation).
You will essentially demonstrate a good understanding of the range of products and market sectors involved and the ability to successfully influence at leadership level, to drive change and deliver growth.
Proactive in all aspects of new business development whilst also managing the efficient and effective response to reactive enquiries in all areas, as a visible leader and role model able to lead from the front, you will work with professionalism, dynamism and integrity whilst aligned to being an inclusive workplace with high levels of emotional intelligence, and the ability to understand what motivates others with self-awareness.
